For the Firework Factory album artwork, Kema envisioned a burning cardboard castle as the main image. To explore the concept, I built a cardboard castle and set it on fire, which was a great exercise for understanding the possibilities.

This initial test helped me create the animated artwork for social media and other platforms. For future commissions, I would refine this process by 3D scanning a cardboard castle, cleaning up the model in Blender, and then compositing the final artwork in After Effects.

The animated typography, which complements the main image, was created using a charcoal pencil and simple frame-by-frame animation.

The album is set for release next year as Kema will be dropping a single every month, releasing each track from the album until the full release. You can listen to the first single….
